Sangkhlaburi is the remote district in the western border of Thailand close to Mynmar. The lake of Khao Laem Dam is the confluence of three beautiful river namely ; Songalia, Bicli and Runtee river. The disctrict is lovely little city sitting in the emabrace of mountains and rivers. During new year, it was cold and early morning it was foggy haze over the silent water surface of lake. Local people were living in beautfiul daily life and outsiders were there for picnic.
I spent beautfiul new year 2008 there by camping. It was beautiful times to remember.

The longest wooden bridge across the lake from the district to the temple was wonderful landmark of this place and be the longest wooden bridge in Thailand. Walking along the old wooden bridge and meeting all those happy faces of people in the cold and foggy dawn, I saw everything happy and pleasant.

Along the river bank, it was nursery sanctuary for aqua life. Many new and young life emerged from this lake of life as well as the beautfiul moods had uplifted my new day.
